There are just three and a half months left until Singapore’s biggest running event: the BYD Singapore International Marathon 2026. If you have signed up but haven’t started training yet, it’s time to lace up your shoes and hit the road.
To help you achieve your goal, Xtep and Key Power Sports have launched the X-Run SG Training Camp. Designed for runners looking to set a personal best (PB) at the marathon, the programme provides structured training to help participants reach the following target times:
- Half Marathon: Sub-1:39, Sub-1:49
- Full Marathon: Sub-3:30, Sub-3:59, Sub-4:29
This programme is intended for runners who are serious about performance improvement. It is not designed for beginners looking to complete their first half or full marathon.
The 16-week programme began on 10 August 2026 and includes 3 structured sessions per week—totaling approximately 48 training sessions.
Running Shots was privileged to attend the inaugural session on 10 August 2026. The session was led by Eddie Chang of Key Power Sports and Raeshon Loo, Singapore’s record holder for the Indoor National Heptathlon. Eddie and Raeshon kicked off the session with a brief orientation covering the camp’s objectives and the importance of a proper warm-up.

For a more detailed look at effective warm-ups, check out two recent posts by Running Shots:
Raeshon guided participants through warm-up drills before they headed out for a quick run at the 100PLUS Promenade track, followed by 10 laps of hill repeats.
The training programme is free and open to the public. While official registration for the full camp is now closed, runners can still join on an ad-hoc basis by registering at heylo.group/xrcsingapore
