Races come and go. Some we don’t miss at all… and some we really do — especially the ones with unique formats that stood out from today’s cookie-cutter race templates.
For our Photo Contest 1, proudly brought to you by Key Power Sports, we’ve picked five iconic races — each unique in distance or format — that are no longer organised (or have changed so much they’re barely recognisable).
So… how long have you been running in Singapore?
If you’ve been around the local race scene for a while (like some of us 👀), you might recognise these event tees.
Let’s see how sharp your memory is.

Clue: An easy one to start. This was the ultimate race for the ladies — and the first of its kind in Singapore.
Photo 2:
Clue: This race held (and arguably still holds) the title of the most challenging 10km in Singapore.
Photo 3:
Clue : The namesake race still exists today, but the format has changed so much that it’s now a shadow of its former self.
Photo 4:
Clue: This one kicked off one of the toughest long-distance race experiences in Singapore.
Photo 5:
Clue: A favourite among full marathon runners — it was the perfect final long run before SCSM.
